Remodel plumbing services
We’ve provided professional bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and whole-house plumbing remodels for Kalamazoo-area homeowners since 1982. We pull permits when required, coordinate with other trades to keep projects on schedule, and frequently work on older Southwest Michigan homes where outdated plumbing is the norm.

What we do & how we fit into your remodel
We handle the plumbing — supply lines, drain lines, fixture installation, venting, and code compliance. Everything else (tile, drywall, cabinetry, electrical) is coordinated with your general contractor or other tradespeople. For smaller projects, we can work directly with you as the homeowner. For larger remodels involving multiple trades, a general contractor is often the right fit, and we're happy to work within that structure.
Not sure what your project needs? Call us and we’ll help you find the right approach.
PLUMBING REMODEL services for Greater Kalamazoo homeowners
-
From a simple fixture swap to a full layout redesign, we handle supply lines, drain lines, shower and tub plumbing, toilet relocation, valve upgrades, and venting. We install walk-in showers, freestanding tubs, double vanities, and custom shower systems. We can also add a bathroom where there wasn't one before — in basements, additions, or existing unused spaces — which typically requires new water lines, drains, venting, and permits.
The plumbing portion of most bathroom remodels takes 1–3 days; larger layout changes or custom work take longer. We coordinate directly with tile contractors, electricians, and other trades to keep the project sequenced properly.
Typical plumbing costs:
Cosmetic updates: $1,000–$3,000
Mid-range remodel: $3,000–$8,000
Full custom: $8,000+
Final pricing depends on fixture quality, layout changes, and complexity. A written estimate will be provided before any work begins.

We handle sink replacement or relocation, faucet installation, dishwasher hookups, garbage disposal installation, refrigerator water and ice maker lines, and water line upgrades. We can add a prep or bar sink to a kitchen island where plumbing access allows, and install wall-mounted pot fillers above ranges including the required water line routing.
Kitchen plumbing rough-in happens before cabinets and countertops go in; final fixture installation follows after finishes are complete. We coordinate with your cabinet installer and GC to keep sequencing on track. Most kitchen plumbing takes 1–2 days for standard remodels, longer for relocations or major reconfiguration. -
We handle water supply relocation, new drain lines, venting, utility sink installation, and washer box upgrades. We can move a laundry room to a new location in the house, though this often involves significant plumbing and drain modifications depending on where it's going. Utility sinks are a popular addition — we install them wherever it's practical. Floor drains can also be added when the existing plumbing layout allows, which helps reduce water damage risk from leaks or overflows.
For front-load washer conversions, we typically recommend updated washer boxes, drain adjustments, and improved shutoff valves.
-
A whole-house replumb replaces most or all of a home's water supply piping — and sometimes the drain and vent systems too. It's the right move when pipes are corroded or galvanized, leaks are recurring, water pressure is poor, or you're doing a major renovation and want the plumbing done right while the walls are open.
We use PEX for water supply (flexible, reliable, and freeze-resistant), PVC for drains, and copper where appropriate. We stage work carefully to minimize downtime in occupied areas and can bring older homes up to current Michigan Plumbing Code as part of the project.
Repiping = supply lines only.
Full replumb = supply, drain, and vent systems throughout.
Timeline varies by home size and scope — most major projects take several days to a few weeks. Permits are handled by us.
We know older Kalamazoo homes
Many Southwest Michigan homes were built in an era of galvanized piping, cast iron drains, and non-standard plumbing layouts. When walls open up during a remodel, surprises happen — corroded pipes, improper venting, outdated materials, and water damage. We've seen it all.
If we find something unexpected, we stop, explain the issue clearly, and give you updated pricing before any additional work proceeds. No surprises on the invoice.

Yes, frequently. We regularly work with galvanized piping, cast iron drains, non-standard layouts, and older venting systems across Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan. Remodels are often the best opportunity to update outdated plumbing while the walls are already open.

We recommend reaching out several weeks before your project starts, especially during busy seasons. Remodels often require planning and coordination with other trades before work begins.
